Welcome to Redemption Hill Kids!
We are excited about the opportunity to share in the care and growth of your child. We realize that our role is an important one in your child’s life, and we strive to fulfill that role to the best of our abilities.
Whether you join us at our Hanestown or Salem Park location, we are called to receive, nurture, and treasure each child as a gift from God. Therefore, we seek to serve the children within our community with a high quality, engaging experience within a safe atmosphere of grace.
Each week, we desire to come alongside the family in training their kids in the grace and truth of Jesus Christ with the hope of seeing Gospel transformation in their lives.
Kids are placed into age-appropriate groups:
Babies: Birth to 1-year-olds
Toddlers: 2-years-olds to 4-year-olds
Lower Elementary: 5-year-olds to 2nd grade
Upper Elementary: 3rd to 5th grade
Babies
A loving and nurturing ministry is provided for your little one during the Sunday morning services. Your child is special to us, and we want his/her first impressions of church to be a positive one as they begin to learn about the love of Jesus. They are shown the love of Jesus through thoughtful care as well as listening to worship music and hymns.
Toddlers
Young hearts and minds begin to form their spiritual foundation of Biblical truths through Bible lessons, music, crafts and free play under the guidance of our dedicated teaching team. The curriculum we use for this group is called The Jesus Storybook Bible.
Our mission is to partner with parents to lead their child to a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe environment where children experience the love of Jesus. Our vision is to transform a new generation of children through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Upper & Lower Elementary
Our elementary strategy is to creatively focus each week on reading and studying a story from the bible and how it relates to our relationship with God and others (Luke 2:52). We teach and study stories from the bible through thoughtful discussions, crafts, games and videos. We also focus on learning one catechism a week through New City Catechism.
It is very important to understand a critical distinction: our goal is not to simply raise kids who have character but to encourage kids to have the kind of relationship with God that results in showing His character to the world. The curriculum we use for this group is titled The Biggest Story -- Bible Storybook.
